During the Confirmation program, candidates are asked to write three reports. Each will have a different theme.
Reports should be one side of a sheet of paper in length and no longer than 1.5 pages.
Completed reports should be brought to the youth ministry office OR emailed to
IMPORTANT:
- Make sure your first and last name is on each report
- Do not use school devices to share a document. Since we are not part of your school system, we will not be able to open any documents sent via your school devices or accounts.
REPORT #1 – Due at the time you register for the program.
Report Topic: My Desire to Join the Program
Answer the following questions:
- Why do you want to enter the Confirmation process?
- What are some things you hope will or will not happen to you during the preparation process for Confirmation?
- What effect do you think receiving the Sacrament of Confirmation will have on your faith? On your Life?
- If you had to define Confirmation, what would you say?
- How would you define the Holy Spirit?
- List any SPECIFIC questions you have about the Confirmation process
- What is one thing you want me to know about you before you start the program?
REPORT #2 – Due by February 28th
Report Topic: My Confirmation Name and Sponsor
Answer the following questions:
1 - Explain what name you have chosen for Confirmation and why.
2 - Who have you chosen for your sponsor and why?
3 - How has this person been a faith role model for you?
REPORT #3 – Bring it with you when you come for your Confirmation Interview (Feb/Mar)
Report Topic: Why I Wish to Be Confirmed OR Why I Don’t Wish to be Confirmed.
Answer the following questions:
In what ways have you grown spiritually since we started the program in September?
- As you approach Confirmation, what does this sacrament mean to you? What effect do you expect it will have on your life?
- Please share how you would define the Holy Spirit. How does the Holy Spirit affect your life?
- For you, what has been the most memorable event in the Confirmation Program? Why was this event so meaningful for you?
- Now that you have gone through the program, why do you wish to receive (or not receive) The Sacrament of Confirmation?
