Inspire: A Catholic Young Adult Ministry
Under the Patronage of St. John Paul II
Mission Statement:
We are a group of Catholic young adults in our 20s and 30s seeking to inspire one another in strengthening our Catholic faith and improving our relationships with God, the Church, our family, friends, and others. We achieve this through our commitment to prayer, monthly gatherings, parish and community service, and fun social activities. New members are always welcome.
Parish Affiliations:
• Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church (Ridgewood)
• St. Catharine’s Church (Glen Rock)
• St. Gabriel’s Church (Saddle River)
• St. Luke’s Church (Ho-Ho-Kus)
• St. Paul’s Church (Ramsey)
• Immaculate Heart of Mary Church (Mahwah)
• Most Blessed Sacrament Church (Franklin Lakes)
Meeting Dates and Times: Every first Friday of the month at 7:30 PM.
Meeting Place: OLMC Parish Center. Meetings are also accessible via a Zoom link we put on Facebook and through our email.
First Friday Events: Our group meets at 7:30 PM for a talk on a relatable faith topic (e.g., dating relationships, devotion to Our Lady, finding time to pray in our daily busy lives as young adults), which is usually followed by small group discussions. After the meeting, there is an opportunity for Penance for those who wish to receive the Sacrament.

Pre-Covid First Friday Events: Following the P3 Model – Prayer, Penance, Pub – our group meets at 7:30 PM for a talk on a relatable faith topic (e.g., dating relationships, devotion to Our Lady, finding time to pray in our daily busy lives as young adults), which is usually followed by small group discussions. After the meeting, there is an opportunity for Penance for those who wish to receive the Sacrament, and then we go to the local pub. The pub we usually go to is the Steel Wheel in Ridgewood, walking distance from the church. We encourage young adults to come to any part of our First Friday events. If there are people who would like to come only to the pub, we typically get there around 9 PM. |
