Saint Paul:
Born:  c.3 at Tarsus, Cilicia (modern Turkey) as Saul
Died:   Beheaded c.65 at Rome, Italy
Canonization Date: Before Records were kept
Feast Day:  January 25th: Conversion of Paul & June 29 (Sts. Peter & Paul)
Patron Saint: Gentile Christians, Theologians & Missions

Saul the Jew hated and persecuted Christians, even assisting at the stoning of Saint Stephen the Martyr. On his way to Damascus Syria, to arrest another group of faithful, he was knocked to the ground, struck blind by a heavenly light, and given the message that in persecuting Christians, he was persecuting Christ.  The experience has a profound spiritual effect on him, causing his conversion to Christianity.  He was baptized, changed his name to Paul to reflect his new persona, and began traveling, preaching, and teaching. Saint Mary Magdalene:
Born: Unknown
Died:  Unknown but possibly took place in Ephesus
Canonization Date: Before Records were kept
Feast Day:  July 22nd
Patron Saint Of: Penitent Sinners, hairdressers, glove makers, perfumers.

Except for the mother of Jesus, few women are more honored in the Bible than Mary Magdalene. 

She was a friend and follower of Jesus and was one of the many “who were assisting them [Jesus and the Twelve] out of their means.” She was one of those who stood by the cross of Jesus with his mother. And, of all the “official” witnesses that might have been chosen for the first awareness of the Resurrection, she was the one to whom that privilege was given. She is known as the "Apostle to the Apostles."
