OLMC CYO Basketball is a competitive, travel basketball program for Boys and Girls in 5th - 12th Grade.
Our main season runs from the first weekend in December through the middle of March. Practices begin in October/November. A typical week will include 1 practice during the week and 1 or 2 games on each weekend during the season. Games may fall on Saturday, Sunday or BOTH in the same weekend.
This year, we hope to hold pre-season clinics for registered Players.
Last season OLMC participated in BOTH The Bergen County CYO Basketball League and The Northern Valley Parochial School Basketball League. Each league has slightly different rules and eligibility requirements, and we adhere to the rules of each respective league.
ELIGIBILITY:
At the 5th - 8th grade levels, you are eligible to play CYO IF you are an OLMC Parish member and you either attend The Academy of Our Lady Catholic school or you are registered in and attending the OLMC CCD program, through Religious Education.
At the High School level, you MUST be Catholic and must be a member of a Catholic Parish, and you MUST NOT participate, at any level, on your High School's Interscholastic basketball team.
If you fulfill the above requirements at OLMC, or attend Academy Of Our Lady, then you are eligible to play for ANY OLMC team.
If you fulfill the above requirements at a Parish other than OLMC, or a Catholic school (Grammar / Middle school) that is not affiliated with OLMC, then you may play for an OLMC team IN THE BERGEN COUNTY CYO LEAGUE ONLY and ONLY if your parish releases you to do so (through a form Q1) AND the Bergen County CYO league agrees.
